Elon Musk, who is CEO of Twitter, thanked Tim Cook, who is CEO of Apple, for showing him around Apple’s headquarters on Wednesday.

Given that Musk has been making fun of Apple in recent days, the meeting between the two leaders is a big deal.

On Monday, Musk asked why Apple, which has the most market value of any company in the world, stopped advertising on Twitter.

Musk wrote on Twitter at the time, “Apple has pretty much stopped advertising on Twitter.” “Do they hate America’s freedom of speech?”

After that, Musk sent Cook a tweet asking, “What’s going on here?”

Musk also questioned how much Apple spent on advertising and said that the company had threatened to remove Twitter from the App Store without giving a reason.

Musk then posted a meme complaining about Apple’s 30% cut of some sales made through its App Store.

He also posted a poll asking his 119 million followers if Apple “should publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers.”

On Tuesday, Musk tweeted, “The people have spoken.” This showed that almost 85% of people who took the poll said that Apple should show the steps it has taken to censor content.

Musk said over the weekend that he would make his own smartphone if Apple and Google took Twitter off their platforms. He added that he hoped it wouldn’t come to that, though.

This week, a well-known analyst said that supply chain problems in China could cause Apple to ship up to 20 million fewer iPhone 14 Pros than expected.
